At 7’2’’ it’s hard to find people that you can see eye to eye with, and no matter what wherever you go people will see you as special. Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor Jr. or as people know him, Kareem Abdul Jabbar was one of kind. A big man that possessed the finesse of a guard and the size of Goliath. Rare were those two intertwined into one basketball player during Abdul Jabbar’s era of playing. Kareem was able to use his abilities to rack up NBA titles during his career and become the league’s all-time leading scorer. This record still belongs to Kareem Abdul Jabbar some 30 years after he retired.
Jabbar is no stranger to success in his basketball career, he was a high school power player and as a result he was recruited by UCLA. As a bruin Kareem would lead the team to 3 national titles in 4 years. Critics would have been wrong to bet against Jabbar as he made his jump to the NBA. The young post player did not disappoint as a professional basketball player he raised his level of play to become dominant yet again as a pro. Kareem Abdul would go on two win an astonishing 6 NBA titles and 6 season MVP awards to go along with the championships. In 1989 Jabbar would decide to hang his shoes up and to be considered one of the best to every play the game of basketball. Jabbar’s accomplishments are unequaled and to this day he is revered by sports fans.
