Kobe Bryant was drafted out of high school June 26th, 1996 by the Charlotte Hornets with the 13th pick in the first round. Shortly after this he would be traded to the place that he would spend his entire professional career as a Los Angles Laker. Kobe’s first season he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. Kobe did not win a championship in his first season and averaged single digits as he scored a little over 7 points per game. Kobe Bryant was 18 years old in a league with grown men that were fully developed both physically and mentally and after that first season, he realized that he needed to change in order to have the impact that he wanted.
